These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the CB Servers Launcher (the “Launcher”) and related services operated by the CB Servers community (“we”, “us”, “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the Launcher, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Launcher.

1. The service

The Launcher is a free tool that provides unified access to community-maintained Call of Duty game clients that CB Servers hosts servers for. It can manage, update, and verify game files, and offers optional Discord integration for Rich Presence and a friends list.

The Launcher is provided free of charge as a community project. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Launcher. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Discord linking

Linking your Discord account is optional and used only for the friends-list and presence features. By linking, you authorize the Launcher to access the limited Discord information described in our Privacy Policy. You may unlink at any time within the Launcher.

You agree not to use the Discord integration to harass other users, to attempt to enumerate or scrape user data, or to interfere with the operation of our services.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Launcher for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer for the purpose of abusing, or gain unauthorized access to our services or infrastructure.
  • Use the Launcher to distribute malware or to harm other users.

We may restrict or terminate your access to our services if you violate these Terms.

5. Third-party clients and no affiliation

The Launcher provides access to third-party, community-maintained game clients. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Activision, Infinity Ward, Treyarch, Sledgehammer Games, Raven Software, or the maintainers of IW4x, Plutonium, AlterWare, Aurora, HorizonMW, or any other client project. All trademarks and game content are the property of their respective owners.

You are responsible for complying with the terms, licenses, and applicable laws that govern the original games and any third-party clients you use. Please direct support requests about the Launcher to us — not to the original client maintainers.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Launcher and our services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Launcher will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the CB Servers community and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Launcher. Because the Launcher is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to the Launcher is limited to zero dollars.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Launcher at any time. We may suspend or discontinue the Launcher or any of its services at any time, with or without notice.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Launcher after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
